Marhólmar specialises in producing masago from premium Icelandic capelin roe. As one of the first masago producers outside of Japan, we bring decades of processing expertise to every batch, ensuring the consistency, flavour, and quality that professional buyers demand.
We supply masago and capelin roe to seafood distributors, food manufacturers, and food service companies internationally. Our facility is equipped to develop tailor-made recipes and custom product specifications, giving our clients the flexibility to meet their own market requirements.

We were among the first to produce Masago outside of Japan. With this experience, we have created a processing facility capable of producing tailor-made recipes and products for each of our clients. Today, we primarily process capelin roe for the US, EU and the Asian market, but also cod roe for customers in UK, France, Greece and Germany.
Every stage of our production is traceable and quality-controlled. From raw material intake through final packaging, we maintain the rigorous standards expected by international food safety authorities and our discerning clients alike.
