marholmar.is does not use cookies for analytics or marketing, so there is no cookie banner.

Visitor statistics

We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics. It uses no cookies, does not store IP addresses and cannot follow visitors from one day to the next or across websites. We only see totals, such as which pages are viewed and from which country.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., which keeps technical request logs (such as IP address and time) for 30 days at most to run the site and prevent abuse. Vercel is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Contact form

When you use the contact form we receive your name, email address, subject and message. We use them only to answer your enquiry and to follow up on any business that comes from it. We do this because you asked us to, and because we have a legitimate interest in answering business enquiries. The message is delivered to info@marholmar.is through Resend, an email delivery service, and is not stored on the website.

We keep your message in our mailbox for as long as we need it to handle your enquiry and any business relationship that follows, and then delete it.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to how we use it. Email us at info@marholmar.is and we will reply as soon as possible. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Icelandic Data Protection Authority, Persónuvernd (personuvernd.is).
